WD Group was appointed by GMI Construction Group to design, manufacture and install the complete aluminium glazing package for the refurbishment of the Malmaison Manchester Deansgate Hotel. The project transformed the former Pearl Assurance House into a contemporary eight-storey boutique hotel, combining the retained historic structure with a striking new façade.
The Challenge
Working within an existing city-centre building required careful planning, close collaboration and precision throughout the project. Integrating new aluminium glazing systems into the retained structure while maintaining the architectural vision and construction programme presented a complex refurbishment challenge.
